So good. So nice. Great value. I checked out and then checked back in, even broke my three day rule to stay longer. Staff make u feel super welcome. The breakfast is top notch. Don’t miss the sandwich. Don’t miss the banana pancakes either. Just don’t miss it.

Very nice relax hostel! The private room was amazing and we enjoyed the rooftop terrasse a lot! The owners were very sweet and take good care of you (coffee in the morning, snacks, washing machine, a place to refill your water bottle, cold beers available, etc). It’s located on a very quiet small alley! Close to a touristy street with lots of restaurants and 10 min of car away from the Malioboro area!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Backyard hostel! We extended from two nights to 4. :) The staff was lovely and helpful. Our private room was super clean and nice. We used the shared kitchen with a fridge and the possibility to make tea or coffee, really great! The shared space was clean and pleasant. We used the opportunity to order breakfast and we tried the local cuisine, so good! We also borrowed a scooter for two days. Everything worked perfectly. Thank you very much!

Our hosts were truly 12 out of 10! From the very beginning until the end of our stay, they looked after us with such kindness and care. They were always helpful at every step, making our holiday not only easy but truly memorable.
Thanks to their guidance, we discovered delicious local delicacies and enjoyed amazing activities around Yogyakarta that we would never have found on our own. Without them, our trip would not have been nearly as fun or enriching.
