This new hotel is fabulous. Right in the heart of Florence's shopping district and surrounded by history and art. We loved it, it was so elegant, nice to find a touch of glamour as so many modern hotels are rather dull. La Gemma delivers 5* quality from dawn to dusk. Nothing is too much trouble the staff are amazing, especially Gian Luca the hospitality manager, and Boldo the mixologist, made incredible cocktails for us. The food was out of this world, truly worthy of a Michelin* in my opinion. Beautifully presented plates and sleek service in the beautifully designed restaurant LUCA's. Even breakfast was a gourmet affair, with everything cooked fresh to order from an impressive menu, they catered for my gluten-free diet brilliantly. I had the best Eggs Benedict on the planet. All in all, La Gemma personifies Florence...glamorous, and beautiful, where one visit is never enough. We will be back.

We loved everything at this hotel. The people working there, high level service, the big room, really good beds, bathrobes, lovely breakfast, the balcony overlooking Arno river. Calm, quiet and near everything. We'll be back!

Perfect location. Close to most of the places. The hotel building is very classic and decent. The facilities are very good and clean. Breakfast is great too, provided us full energy for the day. Staffs are friendly and professional.

I enjoyed my bathtub,my robe,my multiple daily cleaned towels the room was cleaned to a high standard as was the turn down service at night with water and chocolate. The varied breakfast, coffee of any kind was offered,as were the cakes..loved the daily apero in the lobby and the entire desk staff were all fantastic kind and accommodating w every request.
The entire staff would accomplish any request in a speedy professional excellence.
On arrival the porter delivered my bags to my room before I entered.
An amazing experience worth every penny.
