I stayed here for my last 3 nights in Nepal and it was the right place to end my trip before my flight. I was looking for a place in Kathmandu to just rest and chill. This hotel is in a quiet neighborhood, about 20 minutes walk to Thamel. After one month in Nepal seeing many people in cities and villages warming themselves by a camp fire, Best Hostel was where I finally joined these evening fires thanks to Sunny and his staff. They conveniently have a very reasonably priced restaurant and serve real coffee too. Highly recommended for anybody looking to stay in a relatively quiet pocket in Kathmandu that still has good access to Thamel etc.

The variety and quality of the breakfast items, including the coffee, was superb The gym equipment was of a high standard (excellent treadmills for running), well maintained, and a good variety of weights The rooms were quiet and comfortable The shower had great water pressure and temperature The staff were exceptional, maybe the best I've had at any hotel in the world

Gorgeous former place to stay in, set back from the road with quiet, lovely grounds and nice pool. Interesting carvings and artwork inside and beautifully painted and decorated. Great service and good breakfast with choice of various hot options. Very helpful staff. A 15- 20 minute walk from the noise and bustle of Thamel. A real treat to stay here.

The best staff ever hikmat , Santos, and sonkalba and the best egg chief in the restaurant , they have fair nice breakfast but wonderfull service, I recommend any one to try butter ..its super different. Reception they are great , gym isn't so great it needs some care , the roof restaurant is also wonderfull ,hotel is near from everything, it was great stay would love to visit again.
