Everything was really great: location was very comfortable, with good parking inside the yard, even though it is not too far away from city center, but located more far away from main streets so you really don’t feel and hear the city noise. Some comments says the pool is in bad condition - we didn’t notice that. Staff was always helpfull, there was always an open area with complementary tea, some fruits and thai deserts, also the breakfast menu was wide and good.

This place is truly an oasis of calm. Calm professionalism, politeness, thoughtfulness and care. Julian and his staff excelled at all times, including through the famous earthquake. I wasn't too keen to be on an upper floor in case of aftershocks and he kindly found me something at ground level. I travel a lot. This was a really nice version of 5-star. Formal but not stiff. Attentive but not intrusive. I will be back.

Loved every single thing about this hotel. The environment was so serene. We absolutely enjoyed every moment we spent there and were so sad to leave. The breakfast was unique in that we could order off a menu and the food was so good. Being able to sit by the side of the lake while dining was lovely. The staff was really helpful and kind. I especially want to thank the security guard (I couldn't get his name, unfortunately) who so kindly lent us his phone to call our tour guide who was late one day. I honestly wish we could have spent more than 4 nights at this gorgeous hotel. It was the perfect choice for us to relax.

Absolutely everything. What a gem of a hotel. They had been affected by the floods a couple of weeks before we arrived but they communicated clearly with us and there was no sign of any flood damage when we arrived. The staff were always courteous and helpful and the property itself was a haven. Really nice pool, family room was a great size and the bathroom was a family favourite with a huge bathtub and separate rain shower. The incense that was lit outside each room in the evening to help deter the mosquitos was a great touch and just one example of the care and attention to detail that the hotel provides.
Breakfast was definitely the best out of all the hotels that we stayed at with different dishes on offer each morning, as well as fresh fruit. The mango and sticky rice in the afternoon was such a nice touch and we had a great time trying all the deserts and snacking on the fresh fruit.
The hotel is in a great location, just outside of the main town but very accessible. Would 100% return and we would all recommend it to anyone.

Our host was absolutely amazing, and constant provided our room with new towels and goodies. She also was flexible with our check out arrangements and had great communication. The decor was beautiful. It was is a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay, we really loved it. We would definitely stay again.

All of the staff at Baan Orapin were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made a big difference for my husband and I. Unrelated to the hotel, I got sick during my time in Chiang Mai, and the staff were very accommodating and helpful in telling us where to get to pharmacies and offering me some mild food to take up to the room. We also had an issue with our flight back to Bangkok getting cancelled, and the hotel again helped us with navigating the customer service for the airline.
The hotel grounds are very well kept and attractive, the room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the breakfast was tasty.
