If you want the romance of a traditional courtyard with true boutique-hotel comfort, stay here. The property is brand-new, immaculate, and beautifully lit at night. Rooms are quiet and minimalist with great water pressure, reliable fast Wi-Fi, plenty of bedside outlets, and strong AC/heat. The bed and linens meet Western comfort standards. Breakfast can be chosen Chinese or Western—I tried both during my stay and each was fresh, well-presented, and generous (fresh juice and good coffee/tea included). Staff were proactive and friendly, arranged luggage pickup from the city gate, and communicated smoothly in English. The location is perfect for walking the lanes yet peaceful once inside the courtyard. Tips for Western travelers: cars can’t enter the old town, so message the hotel for pickup; wear comfortable shoes; and leave time to simply enjoy the courtyard—part heritage museum, part modern gallery. A flawless stay.

Everything! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was made fresh every morning. Location is perfect in the old city walls. The highlight is the staff! Heartwarming people who are going to make your stay memorable. I highly recommend asking to get Xin Yingjun as your driver to go sightseeing. He drove us everywhere we needed, recommended us restaurants and temples. He knows the city by heart and has so much to share. We couldn’t visit the Hanging Temple because of the weather, but I don’t regret it at all - he immediately came up with another plan that allowed us to visit so many beautiful temples in the city. He is very funny and energetic and such a kind person, he is going to make your stay one to remember!

Yuncheng Yunxi Furusato-Banma Resort ligt in Yuncheng, op 27 km van Yuncheng North Railway Station, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een fitnesscentrum en een tuin. Friendly and polite staff, very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant served delicious dishes at affordable prices. It is the perfect place to relax for the weekend. The Guandi Family Temple is only a 10min walk from the property, very easy to reach and totally worth the visit. As for other tourism attractions although a bit far, the hotel can recommend drivers and the prices are acceptable.

Het hotel ligt midden in de oude stad. Fijne locatie. In de oude stad rijden geen auto's. Het personeel was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam en sprak Engels. Wij hadden een kamer aan de binnenplaats. Kamer was heel schoon en de bedden waren goed. Airconditioning werkte ook goed.

Wanda Vista Taiyuan ligt op slechts 5 minuten lopen van Wanda Square, de Christianity-kerk en het Longtan-meer. Very comfortable stay in a nice location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Het Pingyao Yide is gevestigd in een traditionele binnenplaats met een 300-jarige geschiedenis en biedt kamers in Chinese stijl met handgemaakte, mooie houten meubels en kunstwerken. Wonderful place ! traditionnal style hotel amazing and nice staff. We highly recommend this place
