James was a star, a perfect host available to answer questions. Booked our dinner reservation for us. Exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of the building, the priest hole and tunnel. A wonderful experience which we would like to repeat.

For a continental spread, laid out in the room the night before, the breakfast was exceptional. Light, flaky croissants, ice cold real milk and orange juice in the fridge and top notch yoghurts. The room was clean, comfortable and cosy without being cramped. The only downside is the proximity to the road, but even that didn't warrant the supplied ear plugs (in our case). We had a very enjoyable meal and several delicious pints as well. Highly recommended!
