JamboHouse is a great place to stay if you want to explore Lamu. It's in the middle of the Old Town and has a great terrace to relax and enjoy the views. Arnold is an amazing host and provides you with all the information you need to enjoy the city(restaurants, activities, transport etc.). The breakfast (banana pancakes is amongst the options!) was the best we had during our trip!

Shela Bliss ligger 4 minutters gang fra Manda Beach og tilbyder indkvartering med et fælles opholdsområde, en terrasse og et fælles køkken. The host was absolutely lovely and made us feel completely at home. He made sure we were comfortable at all times, and tailored city tours, boat trips and a sunset cruise for us. Definitely made our stay in Lamu and we hope to go back sometime!

Chris is an amazing host. The house is lovely, perfectly located and very reasonably priced. I was solo travelling and felt very safe at Sai Shanti!

Beyond expectations! We were initially doubting to book due to a false comment of bathroom privacy issue, but we took chances and had a lovely stay, bathroom/shower is separated with locking mechanism from both sides. Host is super friendly, and greets/welcomes from Jetty, and even from Airport offers pickup service, which feels like home. We broke a glass accidently and they were cool about it too. Very accommodating, always at service to take us around as historical alleys there don't show up in Maps. We will return for sure.

Steps for the immaculate sandy beach, action and numerous fine stores and dining, but offers a quiet refuge within its own compound in an appealing Swahili style, with a resident tortoise family. A convenient on-site rooftop restaurant with a bar and a nice breezy view of the ocean canal and boats. Excellent service with attention to detail. Tito and Bonnie deserve a special mention!!! Complimentary airport transfer on a boat. A convenient 20-minute boat ride (1000 KSh, or about US$8, each way) to the historic Lamu Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Banana House and Wellness Centre is located in Shela village, Lamu 2.7 km from Gallery Baraka. The property is set 2.8 km from Lamu Fort. The hotel is beautiful, and the staff is always available and welcoming. We have access to a wide range of activities and the hotel is well located, in the center of Shilla and a few minutes by walk from the beach.

Everything about Jannat House was awesome. The pool was so nice to cool off in the HOT Lamu climate. Honestly, I dont think we could have survived the heat without the pool. The service was amazing. We felt so welcomed. Like a home away from home. The chef provided an impromptu cooking class to show up how to cook the fish we caught. Carol provided good advice and has a reputation for being a good, honest, and caring manager. There are alot of areas to lounge in the shade. Its quiet but close to everything. When we come back to Lamu, this is the only place we will stay due to our warm, lovely experience. THANK YOU!!

Wonderful experience! We spontaneously decided to visit Lamu and came across Subira’s house. The team organized an amiable boat driver who brought us to the house. Once we arrived we were welcomed by Mohammed, who showed us the building and our room. The atmosphere and hospitality of the staff are so friendly and warm, which made us very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing - try the moringa omelette! The rooms were very cute and spacious and we had a beautiful outdoor patio which was perfect to wind down in the evening. The team is very connected to the town and can help with any requests such as organizing a Henna Designer or finding great restaurants. We were so happy with the decision to visit this beautiful town and the Subira house, which is perfectly located! We hope that the house will remain like it is and will find a lovely new owner!
