Emanuel and his family ( including their parrot Antonia) were wonderful and helpful, the bungalows are clean, the setting by the river is great with many sound effects from various birds and other animals and chicken in the morning. Emanuel's cooking was very tasty. Very enjoyable stay.

Enai is located in the forest, on the shore of the Madre de Dios River, 15 minutes from the city of Puerto Maldonado. Enai has a restaurant, outdoor pool, bar and garden. Hyggeligt og dejlige omgivelser. God transport til ture via hotellets bådebro. Skøn pool og fantastisk personale!

Hacienda Herrera Tambopata ligger i Puerto Maldonado og har udsigt til en have, restaurant, en døgnåben reception, bar, have og terrasse. Der er gratis wi-fi. Amazing location in the jungle. We really enjoyed our activities and the guides were all really knowledgeable and well prepared and made our experiences unique. Overall, we liked the food (some meals better than others) because we got to try several different typical Amazonian dishes and we appreciated the high quality and freshness of the ingredients, including different kinds of fresh juice every day. We also appreciated the free water refills and coffee always available. Our bungalow was very clean and comfortable (we got lucky and never had a single mosquito/bug in our room). The staff is friendly and very attentive to any needs, from the airport pick up and drop off, to any requests during the stay. Totally recommended - I guess that less positive reviews are due to the fact that some inconveniences (eg., no hot water, bugs, dark at night etc) are just part of being in the jungle itself and perhaps not everybody's cup of tea, but for us it wasn't a problem as we wanted to have a real experience of this kind.

Kapievi Ecovillage ligger i Puerto Maldonado og har en vegetarisk restaurant. Ejendommen ligger 15 minutters kørsel fra byens centrale torv. Hotellet ligger perfekt i forhold til lufthavn og by. Hotellet er super hyggeligt. Virkelig dejlig mad og meget hjælpsom personale. Alt personale snakkede gerne engelsk, hvis det var nødvendigt. Personalet er super søde til at hjælpe med at arrangere ture også med kort varsel. Og guiden på vores time, var super dygtig og snakkede gerne engelsk. Jeg ville klart komme tilbage 🤗

Refugio Chabelita Hostel ligger i Puerto Maldonado med udsigt til en have. Her er en have, en restaurant og en bar. Der er også gratis wi-fi. The staff were very nice and very helpful. On the day of arrival in the afternoon they took us on a short tour of surroundings where they showed us local plants and the river. We event got to taste the raw cacao beans. They helped us call and order taxi because we don’t speak Spanish and Uber doesn’t work here. They have a small shop with fruits, bread, sweets and salts. Breakfast was excellent. We got avocado every day. With some rice, eggs or tamales. We also got bread and coffee or tea.

Great place to chill for a few days. All rooms are equpipped with fan and AC and private bathroom and fridge. Clean place all over. Theres a bar, a beautiful pool and the host is fantastic and very friendly. Even took us out to buy some food anf other stuff. Helped us with everything. This place wilk make you chill out. Its worth it. There is harldy anything bad we can mention.

CHOMI HOUSE TAMBOPATA ligger i Puerto Maldonado og tilbyder indkvartering med udendørs pool, gratis wi-fi, en have og en terrasse. Elmer and his family, the owners, are lovely. We really felt welcome and looked after like special guests. They own a basic but lovely log cabin with a pool on their property. We stayed there one night before doing our 3 days trip into the Amazon and it was perfect. They did provide local breakfast as part of the room fees and a lovely dinner at a reasonable price.

Quirquincho House Lodge ligger i Puerto Maldonado og har udsigt til en have, restaurant, et fælles opholdsområde, snackbar, have og terrasse. The property has two individual bungalows that are very spacious, with high ceilings, good bathroom and fly screens all around the windows. Nicolas is absolutely wonderful, very kind, very friendly and very respectful. He can organise daily tours, they were excellent. The tours were with small groups (less than 8 pax). Nicolas cooked very tasty meals. The property is located away from town, which means you have lovely nature around you, but Nicolas was very helpful in driving us to places we needed. The bungalows had a balcony, wifi and hot showers. The two dogs that live there are truly beautiful, we miss their cuddles already. Nicolas helped us find birds and a sloth nearby. There are squirrel monkeys nearby. The property is located near other resorts if you need a pool or river access. We enjoyed this property for its local community and wildlife, its excellent value for a small business. My only recommendation would be to have a tea/coffee making facilities available all day, and a large shower mat to catch excess water.

Rosa's House is an amazing place just outside the city of Puerto Maldonado. Rosa and Elvis make you feel at home and they have a very affectionate dog (Kira). My Spanish is not great but it is nice to practice it here because they are very patient. The food that Rosa cooks is local and tastes great. Their garden borders the jungle and Elvis gave us a nighttour twice. We saw tarantula's, snakes and porcupines. I am so happy that we stayed here and I would recommend this place to anyone!
