Boasting a swimming pool and a restaurant, Guaminí Misión Hotel offers accommodation in Puerto Iguazú, 2.7 km from Iguazu Casino. Everything! What an excellent find, pool fabulous overlooking the river and Paraguay. Great food - we were half board, the staff excellent. Ramon was particularly great. Good tango show and the dog greeting us at reception was a lovely touch. The suites were very clean and spacious and one of the best beds I slept in on my trip in south America!

The care taken by the owners is abundantly clear. The hotel is placed within existing wetlands with care taken to preserve the natural environment. Boardwalks connect the hotel rooms with reception, an orchid house, a butterfly house, and a reptile area. The rooms were spacious, the dining adequate, and the pool area relaxing. The staff was incredibly helpful, arranging cars to visit the national park and cross the border and explaining how best to see everything in the park according to our group’s abilities. We appreciated the nature identification books in the little outdoor reading nook as well. Don’t miss the chapel either!
