We felt totally welcome and at ease in the guesthouse. It was a great relief from the business in the other parts of Egypt. There were no extra costs no pressure sales and Hamada made bookings including getting a private car and a boat ride clear and easy. We enjoyed walking through the little trails of the village to other nearby cafes, restaurants and ruins.

The owner was exceptionally friendly and hospitable, even offering to escort me to the temple for the Sun Festival when noticing I was traveling alone. I highly recommend this place to anyone planning to explore the Abu Simbel area!

Situated in Kornish Al Nile, Citymax Hotel Aswan features an outdoor swimming pool. The 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom and free WiFi. We arrived early and was fortunate to receive a free room upgrade. We had a view of the river from our room window. We were near some shops and a pharmacy as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
