Although I had seen pictures online, my jaw dropped when I saw the expansive view from our room and its terrace over the water. The scene was endlessly fascinating, as the light conditions changed, and people engaged in water activities like kayaking. Our hotel restaurant dinner was delicious and expertly served by Thomas. The owners are a lovely couple who enjoy interacting with their guests. They have put much thought and love into this charming and intimate hotel. The proximity to the ocean is another obvious plus.

Hortensias ligger ved bredden af søen Hossegor, blot 400 meter fra de smukke Atlanterhavsstrande og klitter. Breakfast was exceptionally good. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food and service in the restaurant could not have been better and the chefs and cooking was in full view of the diners. I could not fault anything, well done !!
