Very beautiful location and Ryokan. Everything was perfect the room and also the gastronomic food with a wonderful sake. What do you want more.

I was welcomes by the staff as soon as I passed the door and they were the nicest. From randomly upgrading my room, to offering a free drink in the accomodation's bar upon arrival, to offering me a mandarine at dinner. Truly the nicest people. The accomodation is in a walkable distance to the pier, and right in front of the beach. The wood interiors are super cozy and the view from the windows is breathtaking. In an island with no convenience stores and few restaurants, they have just enough options at the cafe to grab a meal. Also has a lovely terrace with a view to the sea.

It's located in a 10 minutes walk to miyanoura port, so it was easy to get around and explore Naoshima

Featuring an outdoor pool and natural hot spring baths on the top floor, Bay Resort Hotel Shodoshima is located in Shodoshima Island. All guestrooms offer great ocean views. The staff was super friendly and the hotel facilities was top notch. Really easy to rent a car at the hotel to experience Shodoshima.

Massages and bicycles are available.... I liked the retro vibe of the hotel, it felt very 1920s-1930s. The theme was consistent throughout the facilities, from the entrance to the lobby, club lounge and the rooms. The cosmetic products were really high quality, especially the conditionner and body lotion. I was particularly impressed with the service quality. All the staff was friendly, professional, helpful and extremely polite. All the staff from the club Lounge cocktail time and breakfast were so nice in doing their absolute best to communicate with us despite the language barrier to encourage us to eat before closing time and showing us how to eat local foods. Breakfast was very tasty and beautifully presented. The rooms were very clean. I think the best part about this hotel is truly how nice the staff is. Customer service here is 10/10.
