The setting is stunning and peaceful, the rooms are beautifully designed and immaculately maintained, and every detail reflects a level of quality and care that is truly world-class. The service deserves special mention! Attentive without being intrusive, sincere, and consistently excellent throughout our stay. Dining was outstanding, with beautifully prepared meals that showcased both quality ingredients and creativity. After full days exploring Yakushima, returning to Sankara felt like coming back to a sanctuary - calm, comfortable, and deeply relaxing. I regret not noting the sommelier’s name, but would love to give a special shout-out for his attentiveness and excellent pairings (alcohol and non-alcohol), thoughtfully tailored for both me and my son. This was one of the best hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Highly recommended in every aspect, and we would not hesitate to return.

Recommendations for local restaurants were excellent, and the breakfast was delicious to eat and in a beautiful location as well.

Beautiful hotel that conveyed the essence of the culture and the layout of the room was perfect. Staff was amazing and hospitable. We selected the breakfast to be included and it exceeded our expectations. It made our experience!

Ibusuki Syusui-en biedt chique accommodatie in Japanse stijl met ruime natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen en voetenbad. The food at dinner and breakfast was exceptional- couldn’t ménage full breakfast but quality was super! All staff great and the staff member looking after our stay Sarin (?) was so wonderfully caring and attentive/ - many thanks!

Opened in 2012, Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Kagoshima is just a 2-minute walk from JR Kagoshima-Chuo Train Station and features a French restaurant and massage services. Very nice view over the city, right in front of the Kagoshima Chuo Shinkansen station, overly respectful staff and very clean room. The bed was really soft and the pillows are the best. Toilet & Bathroom are separated and wide enough. Overall great quality/price.

Ours had an excellent view of Sakurajima. -Staffs speak English and are extremely helpful - they helped us with all our luggages. -Excellent onsen with lovely views of Sakurajima.
