Captain's Cabin Resort - Naval Heritage (Swimming Pool) ligger i Kota Bharu, 5 km fra Handicraft Village and Craft Museum og 6,4 km fra Kelantan Golf & Country Club. What a charming place. We were warmly greeted as family and shown to a huge,  spotless and magnificent room. Our host’s son in law is the chef who prepared a flawless Char koey tiaw, the essential local dish of noodles fresh bean sprouts and prawns, for our dinner, along with a delicious Lai  chi kang, a fruity drink we’ve never sampled before, home made by our hostess.  Our hosts took us out to a local Chinese breakfast place to eat like a local and everyone could not have been more congenial!  There’s a lovely pool also. The place is a bit isolated outside of town, which makes it a quiet respite from the hubbub of Kota Baru. We had the best sleep of our trip here!

This place had spotlessly clean rooms and bathrooms. Sheets and towels seemed new and were also very clean. The view was pretty and the staff kind and helpful. The aircon and Wifi worked well. It was quiet and restful and good value for money. I wish I had taken inside pictures-was a pleasant surprise!

Renai Hotel Kota Bharu (formerly known as The Grand Renai Hotel) is located in Kelantan’s commercial and shopping district. The hotel offers an outdoor pool and 3 dining options. Breakfast and service are great! Stayed for 2 nights with family and it was a great experience. Family room is very spacious. Location is ok, there is Billion mart in the same compound. If you plan to have dinner, best to drive out and check out the town.
