The hospitality and individual care and concern I was given at the Yurt campground was exceptional. The staff's main concern was making sure that I had everything I needed. They went above and beyond my expectations. The campground was also very clean and well-maintained. I have always wanted to stay in a Yurt and it did not disappoint. I stayed 5 nights and loved every minute of it. The campground is across the street from the beach in a very small, quiet and peaceful community. At night, the only things I could hearI were the sounds of the waves hitting the shore and the mating call of a local bird. I think the bird is a European Nightjar that breeds in May and early June. It was awesome! And though it was in the lower 50's (fahrenheit) and rainy, my Yurt and bedding kept me super warm and dry. I had some online work to do and the internet service was also exceptional. I never had an issue. I will definitely stay again if I ever get back to the Azores! I would love to share the experience with my family the next time.
