We loved our stay at Shevyhaws, and would love to stay there again. Chaminda and his family are wonderful guests, they could not do enough for you. Breakfast was delicious and had everything from fruit, to toast, jams and omlettes to curry and roti and pancakes. Accommodation is a bit away from town about 2.5 km, but that was not a problem as Chaminda gave us rides to and from town at no cost, whenever we texted him. He recommended a delicious vegetarian restaurant. He organised daytrips with his 4x4 Jeep at very good prices including the Horton plains, and some tea plantations and waterfalls. The Lovers leap with it's beautiful surroundings is 15 mins walking distance from Shevyhaws. Shower wàs hot and powerful and bedroom was spotlessly clean and included warm cosy blankets for the colder nights. Would strongly recommend to anyone considering.

The room was clean, spacious, with a balcony overlooking the.green hills, perfect for chilling..There is hot water in the shower, which is really nice in not so hot evening temperatures. The owner was really helpful and kind, he helped me.organise few trips and recommended a reliable ruk tuk driver and offered advice on things to/see and how to do it. I cannot recommend it enough!

De accommodatie is rookvrij en ligt op 24 km van Adam's Peak.... Heel aardige familie. Ze hebben elke avond voor ons gekookt. Heerlijk!!! Ontbijt wad ook heel fijn en afwisselend. Heerlijk verblijf in de theeplantages!

Rajith is absolutely wonderful — truly a charming and attentive host and the place is very cozy. He welcomed us with tea and biscuits and was available at all times for anything we needed. We had to leave very early the next morning, and he prepared an amazing picnic box for us to take on the road. Always with a smile, he answered all our questions and made us feel completely at home. If we ever return to Nuwara Eliya, we will definitely contact him again. Highly recommended!

The staff were friendly, and the breakfasts were very good. There’s a wonderful cafe-bar nearby that was recommended to us by the hotel -one of the tastiest places we visited in Sri Lanka, with a great atmosphere. We also used the hotel’s laundry service and everything was perfect. Communication with the staff was smooth, and they helped us with anything we needed. The room was comfortable, clean, and had a good heater. In terms of location, the hotel was quite convenient for us

Very nice staff! They provided us with raincoats and a flashlight for our hike to Adam’s peak. The breakfast after was amazing.

When they couldn’t prepare dinner for us, they went out of their way to drive us downtown to a recommended restaurant, a gesture that truly shows how thoughtful they are. Honestly, I’d go back just for them! The accommodation itself was spotless and well-maintained, located near Gregory Lake. The room was spacious, with a lovely private balcony overlooking both the tea plantations and the lake. The bed was comfortable with fresh linen. On top of that, there’s a rooftop area where you can relax and take in the stunning views. Breakfast was generous and delicious, the perfect start to the day. And since the building is currently being renovated with new facilities, I can only imagine how much better the experience will be in the future. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.
