I loved our room! So spacious and beautifully decorated and full of natural light. Gorgeous bathroom too. Hotel is very clean and communal areas are also well kept and beautiful. Staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. Loved the meal at the Canopy. The large chess and beautiful gardens on the grounds. An osos not far from Cork City.
We loved the old world charm and the exceptional warm welcome we got from Pat. The Kingfisher Lodge is a real gem. It’s like stepping back in time as the pub is filled with wonderful curiosities. It’s hard to find a place like this today that allows you to experience the friendliness of relaxed rural Ireland. The pints are great and the beds are comfortable. The property, being over 200 years old has lots of creaks and cracks, and this adds to the character of the place. Highly recommended if you like authentic Irish pubs and lodging.
If you always dreamt of staying at a castle, or sleeping in a canopy bed, book a stay at Ballyseede Castle and let your dreams come true.
The staff were all very friendly, and patient with my very curious 5 year old. The rooms were comfortable and suited our family of 5 just fine. The breakfast was generous and delicious.
Dinner at the Hampton was amazing. Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
The customer service was excellent from the time we arrived until the time we left. We had dinner in the Canopy room and that was very enjoyable and again the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We used the spa and gym facilities they were excellent. I had a treatment (back massage) best one I had in a long time.
This slightly remote, mini-estate was spacious and well-appointed. Walk to and from town was a refreshing, easy adventure, and driving was equally brief. With its large communal kitchen and dining areas, there was space for interacting with others, or being more private. Other spaces, an atrium and outside, were also available to use and explore. There seemed to BE a buzzing resident BEE that I tried to escort out the window, though it seemed harmless and curious as I prepared tea and warmed leftovers!
Furniture in Hamptons styled, white cloth at table, homemade pancakes, nice towels in the bathroom... everything carefully displayed and classy.
