Very close to the station. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. It was equipped with everything you needed.

Minshuku Suhara ligger i Okuwa, 19 km fra Kotoku-ji Temple, 19 km fra Sekibutsu Kanzan Jittoku Statue og 21 km fra Otsumago. It's not every day you find yourself staying in a property that's featured on local tourism signs, but this is one. I loved it. If you want the experience of staying in a true Edo place... stay here. The bathroom and kitchen have been updated (the wooden bathroom smells amazing). There are modern toilets. But the rest is original Edo style. It's a great place to use as a base for a roadtrip around the Kiso River Valley. You just feel like you're in another time. I absolutely loved it, and would stay here again.

The Standard Twin was spacious enough to fully open two medium size luggage. It has also a basin where you can brush your teeth in the room without the need to head out. The floors are also heated and you can adjust the temperature. The toilets were well maintain even though it is shared. The most unexpected feature that we enjoy most of our stay is the onsite onsen. They have two private onsen of different size. They have an onsite dry room for shoes/gloves as well as your ski/SB equipment. It is located a short 2 min walk to the main echoland street where they are plenty of good food. The only thing you wish for after a long day of ski/sb is to find food nearby. The main street has everything from ski/sb rental to convenience store and food. There are also free shuttle bus to various ski resorts within 2 mins walk from the accommodation. This hotel has discount cards for both the ski/sb equipment rental and ski passes for selected stores/ski resorts.

Peaceful. Beautiful. Natural. After the stress of Tokyo, Villa Azumino was exactly what I needed to recharge. Clean fresh air. Lush trees changing colors with the fall. Deliciously hot natural springs, with baths located both indoors and out. I came alone but it has enough space for a large family. Definitely a romantic place for a couple who enjoy each others company. The attentive staff went above and beyond what was necessary. Friendly, respectful and helpful, they saw to my every need. The villa itself is beautiful, with too many exquisite details to list. Suffice it to say that everything from the structure to the furniture is well thought out. The house was also well provisioned with utensils, plates, bowls, glasses and the like. The baths are a short walk from the main house and they too are well built and rich in detail. The water from the springs did wonders for my skin. I’m not a diva with a skin care routine or anything but even I could notice then difference in my skin after a couple soaks. I only left this morning and already I’m thinking about going back.
