great location straight across from the beach. Staff are very friendly and place is very clean. There's 2 rooms per floor with a shared bathroom. The shared bathroom was always very clean. You can hire a scooter or bike just next door to hotel.

Beautiful wooden house close to everything in for me one of the most charming town in Thailand. I went there last about 7 years ago and to my delight, nothing has changed at all. The friendly owner welcomed us nicely and got us a rental bike delivered to the house on the same day (and even gave us a tree which is now in our garden by our house), which you need if you wish to discover the area futher than the middle of the town - the long possible walk along the coast covering the whole bay is great too. Great places to eat around (most espcially the sea food place about 150m from the house), and luckily we were there too for the lively night street market on Friday. We did too the hike of the 396 steps to the temple up that huge rock in the middle of the city: a must to visit! My partners and I had a great 4 days there, totally relaxing (the morning coffee during the sunset...mind blowing), we just wished we stayed longer. And if/when I come back, I will choose no other place than this one.
