JJ Guesthouse ligt in Aswan, op 22 km van Aga Khan Mausoleum en minder dan 1 km van Nubisch Museum, en is voorzien van gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. The guesthouse was very welcoming and immediately helped us bring our bags from the ferry. When we asked to change dates, they made it easy, and then when we wanted to change room it was also easy. The roof-top was a great asset with a clear view across the Nile full of faluccas and other boats. It was quiet and we slept well in excellent beds. the windows, and small balcony were great. The bathroom was adequate and clean. JJ helped us get an excellent driver, Mustapha, who spoke good english and was very attentive. Both JJ and his wife spoke good english. At first we were asking ourselves some questions about staying on an island which is still quite underdeveloped, but then we got to realize we were having an authentic experience of an African Nubian village and the village life all around. We loved the weaving shop and the spice shop near the ferryboat and made them our base. The ferryboat went every few minutes and cost almost nothing. We found good restaurants also, even one with beer and wine.

Vriendelijk personeel, warm welkom. Grote, propere kamer met comfortabele douche en goed bed. Leuke ligging op het elephant island. Prima prijs-kwaliteit. Wij kwamen terug van een nacht in Abou Simbel en hebben op 3/4e van een dag de Philae tempel bezocht, boottocht tussen de eilanden gedaan en naar de Nubian Village geweest. Er is nog meer te zien maar voor ons was dit voldoende in Aswan, na al een hele culturele reis te hebben afgelegd.

Mohammed and Mostafa are very kind, generous, and genuine people. They helped us with everything from Flueca rides, money exchange, and routes. This is from now on my goto for whenever i come to Aswan.

Crystala guest house bevindt zich aan het strand in Aswan, op 23 km van Aga Khan Mausoleum, en heeft diverse voorzieningen, zoals een tuin, een terras en een bar. Honestly had a great stay. The owner couple were insanely nice and welcoming. Our flight was delayed and they still waited for us until super late at night, which meant a lot. They even helped us set up a trip to Abu Simbel and spent some great time together at the terrace. The owner lady makes an amazing and super filling breakfast. If you’re not in a rush (they serve it after 8:30), it’s 100% worth it.

FADL Kato ligt op 22 km van Aga Khan Mausoleum en minder dan 1 km van Nubisch Museum, en is voorzien van kamers met airconditioning en een eigen badkamer in Aswan. The view is really amazing, it‘s close to the ferry to Aswan city center (about 2 min walk) but very tranquil and quiet, there are no cars on Elephantine island. The room is big, newly renovated and very clean. The Host Ahmed is always available for any request and very hospitable. He helps with any tours you could book or anything else you might need during your stay. I can only recommend to stay here!

Nuba Heart heeft gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en biedt uitzicht op de tuin in Aswan. The rooms where spacious and clean. I live a balcony and my room had that, i could open my balcony and see allt of the village. It was a quick walk to the ferry station and stores. Upon arrival Tamer send is a cab to gather all our belongings and bring us to the guest house. My children and his children played for hours. They didn’t want to leave. Daily we had breakfast and dinner at the guest house and it was delicious. We had a hard time finding a cheap ride home, Tamer was able to arrange a ride for us at a rate we could afford. If your looking for a safe space single or family, this is an awesome guest house to stay at. The picture below is the view as you approach the island.

La Terrace bevindt zich aan het strand in Aswan, op 22 km van Aga Khan Mausoleum, en heeft diverse voorzieningen, zoals een privéstrand, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. Het lag op een mooie locatie op het Elephantine eiland in Aswan. Daar rijden geen auto’s en het was daar lekker rustig. De bedden waren comfortabel.
