This property is a historic canal lock keepers house on the edge of the Loire river and a big park, so you can't have a more authentic room. Host and chef Fillipe takes it to another level with his hospitality and cooking (verify days of week for meals other than breakfast). Our room was large and comfortable with exceptional views. We especially liked the original plank floors. Lunch on the edge of the river was one of our best meals ever. We could have spent several days enjoying the park. If you're biking the Loire River trail (like us) this is a must stay. You haven't fully experienced France if you haven't stayed at Le Relais de Mantelot.

We stopped here for several days on our road trip. We stayed in a family suite. This property is absolutely stunning next to vineyards and every detail has been carefully planned. The location is easily accessible by car and allows for various day trips, after which it was nice to go to swimming in the well-maintained swimming pool and enjoy a glass of wine. The family suite/apartment and the entire property are very clean and well-maintained. In addition, the owners are very friendly and professional, which makes this place first-class. It was easy to relax and enjoy our time. We will come again!

The bathroom was outstandingly equipped and a beautiful shower. The breakfast was stunning, fresh and tasty with absolute quality products. A gorgeous location and we hope to stay again very soon. The home is very beautiful and the hosts were the best! They were very friendly, helpful and accommodating, while also giving us our privacy. We had a lovely room on the third floor with a gorgeous view of the river and a very comfortable bed. We awoke to a delicious breakfast of fresh chocolate croissants, bread and apple juice all purchased by the host before we woke up. We also had delicious honey harvested by their neighbor as well as several homemade jams.They live in a darling small town with several restaurants and a gorgeous church. It was all PERFECT!!! I forgot to add that there is a beautiful rooftop jacuzzi!!!

A lovely room in a residential house right in the center of Blois. The building survived the war, so it has kept its traditional style. Our stay was comfortable and memorable. Breakfast was good: orange juice, croissants, jams, cold cuts, and cheese. The city cathedral is just a short walk away, and all the main attractions are within easy walking distance.
