If you're biking the Loire River trail (like us) this is a must stay. You haven't fully experienced France if you haven't stayed at Le Relais de Mantelot.

They were very friendly, helpful and accommodating, while also giving us our privacy. We had a lovely room on the third floor with a gorgeous view of the river and a very comfortable bed. We awoke to a delicious breakfast of fresh chocolate croissants, bread and apple juice all purchased by the host before we woke up. We also had delicious honey harvested by their neighbor as well as several homemade jams.They live in a darling small town with several restaurants and a gorgeous church. It was all PERFECT!!! I forgot to add that there is a beautiful rooftop jacuzzi!!!

The story of the house is really amazing and you can see the love they have for it. The hosts live at the same property, but other than on arrival, we didn't even see them and they gave us privacy. The location is great, very central, in a quiet neighborhood, with great views and parking just next to it. The room is very spacious, the main bed comfortable though the little extra one could be better. The breakfast plentiful and catered to our needs.
