Situated in the heart of York, The Bar Convent Guest House is only a 15-minute minute walk from the city centre and just over 300 metres from York Railway Station. A place with a super pleasant and friendly atmosphere, I felt super comfortable. The staff was super attentive, totally willing to help me and guide me. One of the guys who was at the reception kindly helped me with my luggage.

Room was a fabulous size, clean and tidy. Plenty of drawer space and a wardrobe, fridge and TV. Ensuite which is always a bonus. Great location not far from seafront, shops and bus station. Super quite too.

We had a very good experience, especially because of the hosts: very warm, welcoming and helpful people that made us feel at 'home away from home'. the house is beautifully decorated, sparkling clean (honestly, we haven't seen one speck of dust in 3 days we've been there). The location is superb, close to many attractions but tucked away from noise and crowds, the breakfast was delicious and the bed was super comfortable. They have beautiful outdoors sitting are where we had one meal and loved it too. Our room had a shower and toilet outside, which wasn't what we expected, but it stoped being a bother after a short while. Overall a great place to stay and we will definitely be back if in the area.

The house itself is an absolute dream: beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. Our room was not only tastefully furnished but also incredibly cozy. The bed was amazing – I haven’t slept this well in a long time! One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast: plentiful, fresh, and absolutely delicious – you can tell it’s made with a lot of love. The location couldn’t be better – the view is breathtaking, and the surroundings are perfect for relaxing and exploring. We enjoyed every minute and highly recommend Booth House! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality – we will definitely be back!
