It was an absolutly wonderful choice to stay in Lapsi! 7 min by walk to the stunning Maehama beach where you can feel the Miyako Blue, clean and quiet home(the cheerful 3 house doggies were what’s the better), very convenient house rules to stay and super kind and heartwarming host. Only thing you need to be prepared is that there’s no mart or convenient store in walking 15 min distance. We shopped groceries on the 2nd day by taxi and cooked light meals. You can use kitchen utencils and clean up. So comfy, loved the atmosphere, highly recommended for those who need to swim in the ocean anytime you want.

I stayed 4 nights and 5 days. It was wonderful as a solo traveler to rent a double bedroom.-that was the only room available for booking at the time. Pricing listed below subject to change, please check with the owners for the most updated info. I chose the full boarding meal plan, so I had a simple breakfast of rice, egg, miso soup each morning. Which was very helpful, so I didn't need to buy only from convenient stores or scramble to look for breakfast spots. The egg was delicious ! Thank you Itsumi-san! Breakfast option is available for a reasonable fee ~300Y. if you tell the owners the night before you need breakfast. Dinner is basically omakase up to the owners to prepare in a bento box.It is also delicious each evening. A lot of restaurants close by 4pm on the island, so it could be difficult to find a later dinner place to eat if you're exploring and doing other things around the island into later hours of the evening. Simple dinner can be requested if you tell the owners beforehand ~1500 Y. The space was good. Indeed, the house is old, which means the hallway floors and stairs may creak when walking around. However, this is a minor thing and expected. Coin laundry and dryer are available for 100Y per 15 minutes of use and laundry detergent is available for purchase from the owners if needed. Itsumi-san was very hospitable, and always checking in to see if I was enjoying my time, and if I had any need, she was ready to offer help. When I arrived, Itsumi-san gave me a briefing on all the highlight spots and places to visit, restaurants to keep in mind. And that has been super helpful. Being able to chat with other guesthouse members when you choose to and to be able to go to your room when you need privacy is great! Wifi exists, however, not the fastest. So those who need WFH, faster transfer, and download speeds, you may want to get your own wifi egg or data source along with you just in case.
