When I first booked at Tinto Hostel, I was in the process of looking for a tranquil and quiet place to stay for the last month of my 9-month journey abroad. After spending two nights in Barichara and at Tinto Hostel, I knew I had landed in the perfect spot. I ended up extending my stay from 2 nights to almost a full month. The hostel is surrounded by rich greenery which made it all that more relaxing and rejuvenating. I felt I was sleeping in a beautiful garden yet, the dorm room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The beds were also much bigger than any dorm room that I'd stayed in throughout my journey in Colombia. The location was perfect and close to everything. The town of Barichara itself, was absolutely stunning. The cost was extremely affordable. The owner Javier and his staff were wonderful and a delight to be around. Javier upon arrival, provided everyone with a map of the town and recommended the best places to eat, shop, and sites to see. Javier was always available for anything guests needed and was always helpful in any way possible. Javier is an exceptional host and I will miss him and his staff greatly.

Great location, walking distance to all points of interests including restaurants. Beautiful set up overlooking the town. Staff were excellent with a lot of advice, kind and happy to help with everything. Breakfast was excellent. Great music and activities set up.

Honestly this has been one of the nicest hostel's I've been to, the facilities are great, the hostel is really cool, staff are super welcoming and very helpful. There's a good restaurant on site. It's right in the center of town. Great place for solo travelers. You can book all the activities through the hostel.

I absolutely love this place. Flo, a really nice guy has created a really special place. It was so peaceful and a really good place to rest and rejuvenate. Sandra and José are beautiful people, they are so warm and welcoming. The food was amazing. I slept well and ate well!! I really recommend this place its an experience in itself. Located 15mins from Barichara is part of the charm. Its very easy to get a local bus at the top of the road or they can call a rickshaw if you prefer. The scenery on the way is lovely too.
