This hostel was our favourite in Filandia (we stayed in 2). The beds are comfortable and very clean. It has a very well equipped kitchen and a great terrace to eat or do some yoga. The wifi works really well and there are a couple of desks to work from. The highlight was David the staff member, honestly so funny and kind, made us love out stay ❤️

The property is located just around the corner from the main square so it’s easy to get to restaurants etc. It’s also not far to walk to the viewpoint ‘Mirador colina illuminada’ which has amazing views of the surrounding countryside and mountains. The room was simple but clean and the bed was comfortable. Tea/coffee is provided at pretty much all times of day in the reception. The family that run the hostel were really lovely and made us feel very welcome. They went out of their way to organise a tour into Barbas Bremen nature reserve to see howler monkeys with a local guide at very short notice. Leandro in particular was a great host and we went out for a mountain bike tour with him of the surrounding countryside which was loads of fun. There is a nice little chill out space with hammocks in the middle of the hostel that came in handy. We would definitely stay here again.

The owners José & Estrella are absolutely wonderful. The facilities are basic but very clean and for Meir was everything I needed. However, my highlight was the breakfast at their terrace where you can see beautiful exotic birds wile enjoying your arepa, scrambled eggs and fruits. Great value for the price!
