Staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to help accomodate our group. The property was very clean and well-looked after. Our room was air conditioned which was very nice in the heat.

Honestly my boyfriend and I had a blast at this hostel. The Personal are really helpfull and kind. Speacially the ones that we have the chance to meet. Like Mayda and the other tall guy that i cant remember his name. The place is really easy going. Kitchen always clean. Just a step aways from everything you need in tamarindo. Its really a chill vibe and I recommend 100%. The cleaning people are working hard to keep the place perfect and its work. Again we totally recommend.

Very nice hostel 2 min from the tamarindo beach the kids who working there was great .A nice pool a howling monkeys in the trees you can hear them every morning above your head.

It's a super relaxed place with a lot a common areas to chill in hammocks, on rocking chairs or on different sofas - whatever you prefer. You will find a kitchen with two big fridges and everything else you need to prepare your meals. There is even a big oven to bake pizza or bread! Mats, the owner, is taking very good care of everybody and always has some fresh coffee for you. I personally don't understand some of the bad reviews, must be from a time under different management or people who just have the wrong expectations about a hostel in a tropical country (suprise - there may be animals living around you). It's not a 5*hotel or resort, but you get a clean and comfortable bed and everything else what a traveler needs to spend a good time in Tamarindo.

Had an excellent stay at Pipehouse over Christmas with the family. Felipe welcomed us with open arms to his beautiful hostel with a lush garden, a big lounge area and hammocks. We even got to see monkeys jumping from branch to branch in the big tree overlooking the lounge. The hostel is located right by the sea and access to the beach couldn't be better. Additionally, we all found the hostel clean, well maintained and with a very friendly staff. The included breakfast was also much appreciated. Highly recommend for both singles, couples and families.
