We (my family and me) recently had the pleasure to stay at Savannah House in Arusha, and it was truly a wonderful experience for 4 nights. Initially, we had booked only one night but we loved it from the first sight and we booked 3 more nights. We loved the decor and layout, really well designed. From the moment of our arriving, the host Tony and his staff greeted us with fresh watermelon juice, they were so welcoming and warm. One of the aspects that impressed us was the emphasis on safety – from the secure entrance to the well-lit common areas (with electric fence) and night security. We felt at ease throughout our stay - the modern and perfectly clean room exceeded our expectations, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment, the beautiful garden with relaxing spaces. Breakfast was exceptional, rich and absolute delight. Tony`s sister culinary skills shone through as she prepared a delicious, healthy and hearty breakfast that left us energized for the day ahead. It is possible to order pizzas, to buy bottle of water and local beer in the hotel. It was a perfect option for us after safari tour or after our daily activities (hiking Kilimanjaro, Hotsprings, Greencoffee tour and Materuni waterfall), so it was not necessary to leave the property. We went out for a dinner in the last evening of our stay in Arusha and visited a good modern private area of restaurant, bar and discotheque to taste nyama choma (local food). It is too close to Savannah House. After safari we asked for Laundry Service and Tony`s sister organized everything for us (for normal price). The staff attention to providing a comfortable environment was evident in every aspect of the guesthouse. That truly made the difference in our stay - really felt like at a home, eternally grateful for their kindness and generosity. Our children adored our stay at Savannah House and we were happy too. The staff really helped make our 50th Anniversary some thing very special. The staff decorated our bed and table with flowers. The celebration went on with the staff singing and a bit of dancing, and a heartwarming speech by the manager. The food was good and service was very good. While we enjoyed the festivities the staff took care of our room. It is also a good place for families. It offers a place of relaxation and tranquility. I would come back . The manager Frank was extremely helpful.

The best hostel I've ever been to. The people are exceptionally nice and helpful, the food is amazing and made from local crops, rooms are clean, we also went to the safari organised by them and were very positively impressed. I have nothing bad to say and I'll for sure stay there again if I'm near

Wow, what a find! Tucked away in a lush banana plantation near Arusha, this eco-hostel stole my heart. My cozy barn cabin felt like a treehouse dream, complete with a porch swing and stunning Mount Meru views. But the real showstopper? The incredibly cheap eats and drinks! I feasted on delicious organic meals straight from the farm without breaking the bank. If you're after an authentic Tanzanian experience that's easy on the wallet, Banana Farm Eco Hostel is a must-visit. Trust me, your taste buds and your budget will thank you!

This property is fantastic for backpackers, budget travellers, woofers and those looking for an environmental stay. The banana and coffee plantation surround the rooms giving wonderful views. Rooms are basic and clean, with eco-generated hot water and electricity. The tour around the property was reasonably interesting. For the price you pay, you can't go wrong.

The staff is realy kind and helpfull. The rooms are fine. You pay a good (cheap) price to stay here and a nice breakfast is included. Dinner is possible, they serve delicious food. We had a lovely stay. I would definetly recommend this hostel, especially for students.

Best hostel in Africa so far, hostel is modern and in great location. I was also allowed early check-in, the girl who works there is very intelligent and extremely helpful
