The open kitchen is something which makes this a better option than B&Bs!!! The rooms and bathrooms were clean, well stocked and they also had a blow dryer and laundry machine installed for use. Its a home away from home.

We rented the entire building with its nine beds, plus one additional foldout. The building is well situated and well arranged/updated, esp the three washrooms (one on each floor). All enjoyed their stay and we will be back.

Vandrerhjemmet Auberge Alternative ligger i det gamle Montréal og tilbyder gratis WiFi. Amazing hostel right in the heart of Old Montreal! The staff are super friendly and helpful (especially Alice and Sabina), and the volunteers also help to create a great atmosphere. This is not a party hostel (quiet hours start at 11pm), but it's nevertheless a great place to meet people from all over the world and even create lasting friendships. I was pleasantly surprised by the broad range of ages of people staying there, from families with young children to retirees in their 70s.
