At the hostel, each room is fitted with a patio. The rooms have a kettle and a private bathroom with a shower, while selected rooms also boast a kitchen. All rooms will provide guests with a fridge. I stayed at Caveland with family (my two kids and my mother). The room was much more spacious than I could have anticipated. I was expecting a much more smaller room, with several beds fit within the available space (based on past experience). Instead, what we got a essentially a small apartment, with two separate bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and a small living room, all spacious, well equipped (e.g. air condition, wireless, towels etc) and clean. The balcony outside the room was nice for relaxing and also observe the kids in distance, playing in the swimming pool. The kids enjoyed the large swimming pool, it was ideal for the warmest part of the day when we did not want to move around in the island under the Sun. Breakfast was basic but more than sufficient. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The dogs were also a nice company. The village has few nice places to eat, or you can also order to get food delivered at Caveland. Overall, I hope that the fact that Caveland is listed as hostel in some booking websites is discouraging from some families to even consider it as an option - I instead cannot recommend it more.

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of sea, Votsalon Beach House is located in Katastárion, 50 metres from Alykes Beach. Located around 16 km from Agios Dionysios Church, the hostel with free WiFi is also 16 km away from Port of Zakynthos. Certain rooms at the property have a balcony with a mountain view. I adored my stay at Votsalon so much! Marietta was an extremely helpful and a very lovely host. the room got everything I needed to relax, and I enjoyed working in the lovely terrace. I was not so lucky with the weather and it was extreme at times, but the accomodation proved to stand it all, and the 1 minute walk to the beach covered all the possible inconveniences. Would love to come and stay in the room once again!
