The host couple was exceptionally flexible (cancellation, extension, extra day – everything went smoothly, and we were lucky with their booking calendar). They made our stay memorable with their good humor, helpful tips, and—on request—very delicious food. The city center of Flores is a bit of a walk, but easily reachable by tuk-tuk, so the tranquility of the rooftop terrace more than makes up for it. Recommended.

Two minute walk from where shuttles arrive/depart. The room had many fans which was good for sleeping and also a bathroom inside, with more available near the lobby. It also had some nice outdoor spaces to chill and a rooftop with lake views. The staff were incredibly helpful also, including the owners who were very kind and friendly. Small breakfast also available. All sorts of restaurants and shops available nearby, as the island is very small. Lastly you can arrange Tikal/Yaxa tours or transport to anywhere in Guatemala or Belize (maybe other places too).

Hostal Casa de Grethel ligger i Flores og har et privat strandområde, fælles opholdsområde, en terrasse og restaurant. The family running this business is very kind and have good humour. They welcome guests in a friendly way and have good recommendations, they also don’t charge as much as other hotels for tours. The room is very clean, the AC is strong, the showers are warm and the bed is soft and plush. There’s also a breathtaking view of the lake from the balcony. The meals are also delicious and priced on par with other restaurants in the area, if not a bit cheaper (this was very much appreciated).

This is one of the most best places I’ve ever stayed amazing staffs especially Melanie she helped me with everything I needed. Service is amazing the pool is great with great view. Thanks again

The hostal is beautiful and cozy, located at the center of Flores island. Comfortable beds, good morning coffee and a beautiful terrace. Una Buena onda!!
