I can't recommend this place enough. Amazing hospitality, we felt like we were very welcomed. the owner plus house staff helped us with planning the rest of our trip. Excellent breakfast too!

Zen Moon is one of those places that stays in your memory long after you leave. The house itself is charming and full of character, with a small, peaceful garden with turtles and golden fishes. The room is small but simply magical. The bed, covered with a delicate mosquito net and soft batik sheets, made me feel like a princess every night. But the real highlight is the bathroom. It’s a pure zen oasis, open to the sky, surrounded by greenery, and so beautifully designed that taking a shower feels like bathing in the jungle. The location couldn’t be better, just a few steps from some of the nicest restaurants and cafés in the neighborhood. If you’re coming to Yogyakarta, don’t think twice; Zen Moon is a little paradise you’ll be grateful to have found.

Best hostel I’ve stayed in so far! The staff is extremely friendly and make sure you feel at home right away. The breakfast is amazing and so is the outdoor shower. It’s not a big hostel so it feels very homey. The location is good and it’s clean!
