The host is a really chill, down-to-earth guy who genuinely cares about his guests. He was very accommodating to my situation and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. The room was clean, spacious, and a great place to relax after a long day. At first, I wasn’t planning to do the trekking because it was a bit out of my budget, and we initially disagreed on the price. But despite that, he went as far as to let me set up my tent on his property for free to ensure my safety, which really showed his kindness and hospitality. One important thing to note—before booking, make sure you can afford the trekking with him. He’s very passionate about it, and there could be some misunderstandings if you stay without booking a trek. But overall, if you’re looking for a welcoming place with a great host and a solid trekking experience, this is a great choice!

Frank and his family are great hosts, they make you feel very comfortable and welcome. Unreal location right in front of the break walk put on the reef and you are in. We stayed two weeks wish we stayed longer

Salty Dog Hostel ligger i Telukdalam, et stenkast fra Pantai Baloho Strand, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Amazing vibes and super chill environment. The owner and all of the staff are incredible and super fun people to hang with. You go to this place as a stranger but even after a couple days you become like family. I wish I could have stayed longer. 30 min drive to Saroke but no problem because it was easy to rent scooters from salty dog. Best place ever!!

RedDoorz Hostel @ Capsule Inn Medan ligger i Medan, 1,8 km fra Medan Station og 4 km fra Istana Maimun. Værelserne har aircondition og et fælles badeværelse. i love this hostel much better then i think. Super clean and the staff was friendly. The sheets smell good. i love everything especially the toilet. At night there was a street vendor in front of the hostel. Near to city center and train station. Very quite at night and it's good for me to rest. Free one bottle mineral water and they provide us free water refill in second floor.

Very friendly staff and owner. Also very helpfull when you need or want something. The best thing we could do was book the jungle trek tour. Our guide Edi Caterpilar was doing great teaching us all the stuff he knows about the jungle. We saw many oeran-oetangs and other monkeys. Also other animals like a weird river-turtle. Rafting in the end is also worth doing, very nice ending of the trip!

The owner is so kind and helpful! He helped me with recieving a package in Indonesia what was so important for me. He gives some good tips for the city and for first steps in Indonesia. The place has nice common space so it's easy to socialise with other travellers and go out with them for food, sightseeing etc.
