The room is very spacious and the individual beds are spread out, with safe and capacious lockers. There are plenty of sinks and showers, so you don’t need to line up. The toilets and showers are spotlessly clean. Free toiletries are provided at no extra charge. The common area on the ground floor is also lovely.

Aso Base Backpackers ligger i Aso, 33 km fra Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto og 42 km fra Kumamoto-borgen. Nice location near the station, like 6min walk. Open and clean public space to chat and make friends, the room is also clean and comfortable.

The room was large and clean. Our room was the family room with a decent sized playhouse inside where the kids play and even sleep. The building is old, but has been remodeled and is comfortable. The baked goods in the cafe on the 1st floor are delicious, and the cafe is whimsical and charming. There’s a kid’s playroom at the back of the cafe which was great for us, a group with lots of kids. There are also many ceramic wares by local artists for sale. I’d like to visit when the weather is cooler and explore the neighborhood.
