The common area is amazing, beautiful and comfy. The bathrooms are super clean and comfortable. The dormitory room is big, spacious, and you can have enough private space. There are lockers and washing machine too. The kitchen is also nice, which is good, since the guesthouse is in a village, with limited restaurants at dinner time.

The units come with a fridge, microwave, a kettle, a bidet, a hairdryer and a desk. All rooms are fitted with a safety deposit box and selected rooms will provide you with mountain views. All guest rooms at the hostel are equipped with a seating area. The owner is an absolute sweetheart. She runs the hostel by herself and does all the cleaning and hostel preparations for your arrival. She is fluent in English as well which is a big plus to foreign travelers. I contacted her that I was going to be checking in slightly late and she said it was alright. The first night I stayed in a bunk and the 2nd night was a private room. I slept very well both nights and the hostel has a very home-y feeling to it. The location is also excellent being <10minute walk from Gekkouji station. Owner recommended me to visit Arakurayama park to get a view of Mt fuji and it was worth it. I went at sunrise with other travelers. It is about 15 minute walk to the location.

However, it was cold inside—it actually felt even colder than outside. There is an air conditioner, but I don’t like the fan-type heater; it just doesn’t work well for me. Still, I recommend the place overall
