Hostel Cuore Kurashiki ligger blot 10 minutters gang fra JR Kurashiki Station i det historiske Bikan-kvarter i Kurashiki. Samtlige værelser har unikt design og stilfuldt interiør. Everything! Especially the bar interiors! Location is perfect, too!

DENIM HOSTEL float ligger i Kurashiki, 16 km fra Mizushima Ryokuchi Fukuda Park. Her en restaurant og en bar samt gratis wi-fi. Der er desuden røgfrie værelser. Overnatningsstedet ligger ca. Denim Hostel is definitely a place you go to relax and escape the cities. It is very relaxing - i stayed in FUNE as a solo traveller, and enjoyed a glass of wine and coffee on the balcony and the peace. Also not advertised here, but you can request the Indigo Dyeing experience - this occurs at 3pm, and for ¥3000 you can dye a piece of your own clothing, or purchase a shirt from the shop. It was a lot of fun, and I dyed a shirt and pants set - it came out amazing! I also loved that you can reserve the onsen to yourself for an hour - basically prior to 9pm the onsen is only available via booking on their website, and after 9pm it is open to all. Make sure to book in advance!

HIBARI HOUSE ligger 10 minutters kørsel fra Okayama Station, hvorfra gæsterne kan nå Hiroshima Station på 40 minutter med tog og Shin-Osaka Station på 50 minutter. Great clean and friendly hostel above a bar in the main strip area. Good access to everything. Dryers and shower were super nice.

Kamp Houkan-cho Backpacker's Inn & Lounge's ligger blot 500 meter fra JR Okayama Stations vestlige udgang og har café med live-scene til djs og andre kunstnere. Cozy, friendly staff, great location and great atmosphere. Had a cafe/bar next to the annex building. Had live music and cool vibes.

Kikusui Ryokan ligger i Tamano, 24 km fra Sogenji Temple. Her er en have og værelser med aircondition. Nice and clean. We arrived late and we had no issues checking in. The location is super convenient for getting the ferry to nearby islands!

北房まちの駅 AZAE ドリトミー azae ligger i Maniwa, 22 km fra Shoka Museum Ikegamitei og 23 km fra Bukeyashiki Kyu Oriike Kyu Haibarake. Her er en have og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Mr Sakamoto was a wonderful host! He does his job well as local town tourist information manager. He welcomed us, gave us some maps and answered our questions. It’s a converted Japanese house, not a hotel. We stayed in the cheaper dormitory part of the property. It was adequate. In the dormitory side the two rooms are upstairs and the toilet and small shower are downstairs. The toilets were clean and the kitchenette area under the stairs was adequate for simple dinner and breakfast we had. The local supermarket is a short distance away by car and open 9a-9p. Plenty of selection available. We enjoyed a morning walk along the lovely little river and through the town and countryside. The firefly park and pavilion were a short drive away but they were interesting to see. We’d love to go back in the spring during cherry blossom season and in early June for the firefly season. The stars were beautiful since there’s little light pollution!
