Where do I start? One of the best experiences of our lives throughout. So, me and 2 of my friends were travelling for a long weekend getaway and you won't believe the hospitality and the perfection of this property. Truly something to be rewarded and justified! Me and my friends had quite a dilemma when we were booking the place for our trip. But, man oh man did it turn out well! So, our booking was from Saturday to Monday which means Saturday check in, Saturday night, Sunday night - Monday check out. Now, this weekend was a long weekend and everyone was travelling. We are locals travelling from Colombo to Arugam Bay and we didn't have transportation sorted out for us. Our vehicles were being used over the weekend and we had to use the public transport. There is no train to Arugam Bay from Colombo as far as we researched but there are buses. The buses were booked too. We somehow managed to get seats. The buses operate at night which means you board in Colombo around 7 PM and you land in Arugam Bay at around 4 - 4:30 AM. This is the daily route for the bus. So, if we want to get there Saturday - we must get there Saturday early morning at 4. We just booked that bus and we were on our way to Arugam Bay Friday night So, it all starts with the host. Since, I booked and my number is on the booking. I got a call from a random number. I didn't answer cause I was travelling and my phone was on silent. It seems like I had missed calls from the same number. I just ignored it and kept travelling. After a while of listening to music, I just got an instinct to call this number (a good gut feeling). I called and it was a nice gentleman named 'Roshan' from the hostel and he was asking me what time I will arrive. I told him around 4. He asked me if I am coming by bus or train (seems like trains operate) haha. I said bus and he said, " 'NO PROBLEM. ONCE YOU ARRIVE, JUST COME IN TO THE HOSTEL AND SLEEP ON YOUR BEDS.

Aura surf camp & Hostel ligger i Arugam Bay, 7,2 km fra Elephant Rock og 18 km fra Magul Maha Viharaya. It had only just opened its doors and we were met with the warmest welcome from the manager who couldn’t do enough for us. Always went out of his way to accommodate us - sharing extra phone data with us, allowing late check - out due to work commitments, updating us to the air-con room because the fan room was under renovations but with no extra charge. We really enjoyed our stay, thank you so so much

Vandrehjemmet har gratis wi-fi og ligger... The owner is super helpful, always organising small parties and helping out with surf spots, he even came to help us when our TukTuk broke down. The location is perfect, beds good quality and everything is clean. Definitely recommend!

Early birds ligger i Arugam Bay, 2 minutters gang fra Pasarichenai Beach. Her en have og en bar samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Der er desuden røgfrie værelser. Overnatningsstedet ligger ca. I had the loveliest stay at Early Birds! It’s so close to the beach and the dorm was really nice- all the beds have curtains and the mattress is super comfy. The hosts are really friendly & welcoming and taught everyone some local games! Also, the breakfast was some of the BEST food I’ve eaten in Sri Lanka!!

I had a lovely Stay in Arugam Bay, i really recommend This Hostel due to its Amazing staff. The cute Indian Guy Harshit is as Irreplaceable as the ‚Skip Intro‘ Button on Netflix. He does a really good Job and you can ask him anytime for Advice. Check in and Never Leave 👍🏻💕
