If you're looking for an authentic Sri lankan experience and wanna be treated more as a friend rather than a guest, choose Jungle Host Hostel. Chooti and Diva - the hosts, took good care of me and showed me some secret places around. We had so much fun spotting elephants at night, watching plenty of sunsets and sunrises. I think I also learned a lot about the Sinhala culture cause it was a bit like a Couchsurfing experience. I met some great travellers in the hostel! It was definitely my best stay in Sri Lanka and I'm grateful for that. The rooms are also very nice and clean.

I arrived at this hostel to spend one night and ended up 4 and leaving was completely heartbroken 🥹❤️‍🩹It is a family hostel where I felt like one of the family, I am very very happy and grateful to have been lucky enough to find such a ✨special ✨place to which I will definitely return and of course recommend, because thanks to the hosts my experience in Sigiriya was spectacular🌄. So thank you very much family ❣️❣️ And wait for me because insha'Allah I will return as soon as I can🧡🐘🌴💙

Jungle Trails is a raw gem. If you’re looking for a sense of luxury at a budget price point, this is a great place to stay while it’s still being developed. The location is excellent, the property and rooms are beautiful, and the owners are incredibly kind and attentive. While they are not always on site, they are consistently prompt and responsive to any questions. Do keep in mind that this is a jungle setting. If you are very uncomfortable with insects or wildlife, this may not be the right fit — or you may prefer a higher-end property designed to be more sealed from the surrounding environment. It’s also worth noting that Wi-Fi can be spotty depending on where you are on the property, and mobile signal does not reliably reach the area. This means you are quite disconnected, which some guests will love and others may find challenging. The staff went above and beyond to help in this regard — they even relocated the router to my dorm, which I happened to have to myself. Overall, a beautiful and memorable stay with great hospitality.

I don’t usually give full ratings, but this hostel absolutely deserves it. The family managing the place is so kind and welcoming. Beautiful and quiet location surrounded by nature, excellent service, meals prepared upon request, and very fair prices. A wonderful experience I truly recommend!

Night Owl Hostel Sigiriya totally stole my heart. The place has the perfect mix of chill jungle energy and good people. Everyone here — staff and travelers — felt like instant friends. The food is insanely good (seriously, don’t miss their dinners!), and the atmosphere at night is pure magic. Ended up staying longer than planned because it just felt like home. If you’re coming to Sigiriya, this is the place to be! 🌿✨

There was a pool in the bedroom of the king suite, which was amazing, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I also enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner that was included.

This is a newly opened hostel perfect for seeing Sigiriya! It’s only about a 10 minute tuk tuk ride to the rock and about 10-15 minutes walking to some restaurants and shops. This is the cleanest hostel I stayed at in Sri Lanka. You can smell the freshness in the bathrooms and the towels smell so clean. The rooms also have air conditioning. Above all, the family is so personable and kind. The breakfast is also affordable and was so tasty - the best breakfast I had in my one month visit in Sri Lanka. 100% recommend :)
