La Urraca all a was a little cosy home on Ometepe. The design is quirky, using eco materials, and everything was well thought through. We were shocked to have our first warm shower! Breakfast was well priced. The bed was comfy. We loved our stay!

Staff was so kind, room was clean and comfortable with a fan for each bed, location was perfect for getting on the ferry the next day and they are able to help set up rides/excursions. Excellent value for the price, would definitely stay again!

El Zopilote Permaculture Farm/hostel er et vandrerhjem for backpackere og en permakulturgård på samme tid. I absolutely loved staying here, I booked one night and then kept on extending for two weeks. As a solo traveller it was so easy to meet people and there was always activities or someone to go and do something with...it's definitely very easy to get stuck here. I had never been to a permaculture farm either, I really recommend the tour, the place is huge and fascinating. Also highly recommend the pancakes, and you can't go wrong with the cheap and healthy meal as the name suggests. Really reasonable prices and lots of information about what to do and see. Staff were very helpful too. Remember it is eco friendly so you will need your own light at night, you won't find a flushing toilet, it's a bit like glamping but you get a nice room and a comfy bed

Rainbow Caravan Hostel ligger i Las Pilas, 17 km fra Maderas Volcano, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en restaurant samt gratis privat parkering. The place was very clean and tidy, tranquil, and no noise at night which is rare in Nicaragua because there's always someone making some noise. The food was quality, homemade vegan goodness. Making a fire was cool and it has all the modern amenities like a fridge and cooking equipment so you can bring beer. Didn't have any bugs unlike some of the other hostels i stayed in on Ometepe. It's quite a good location equidistance between the two towns and near the start of Volcan Concepción. I recommend renting an ATV rather than a scooter at the port and picking it up in Ometepe, don't trust the people on the San Jorge side. The hostel also offers scooter rental although I picked mine up at port. Very photogenic hostel and peaceful.

B&B, family run homestay, Hospedaje La Penita ligger i Altagracia, 16 km fra Maderas Volcano, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.
