The owners Daniela & Tony went above and beyond for their guests to make sure we were all comfortable and had everything for our stay. Beds in the dorm were comfortable, bathroom was clean, everyone had a fan, drinking water provided, hammocks, a delicious affordable breakfast was also an option which I highly recommend! The location was close to the ferry port, it was very easy to explore other parts of the island by renting a scooter.

La Urraca Loca Hostel ligger i Balgue og har en have, terrasse, en restaurant og bar. Overnatningsstedet ligger 12 km fra Maderas Volcano og har grillfaciliteter. it’s absolutely gorgeous and located in the jungle at the base of volcan maderas. the owners and staff are beautiful and so helpful and will organise any tours for you or help you with anything you need. I also loved that there was a fully functioning kitchen. loved the family vibes of this hostel!

Place was very nice. Super quiet. The kitchen is very comfortable for cooking. Staff was very helpful, letting me know of places and activities that were happening during the week. The beach is close by and super big. I did the boat trip to Lances left which I super recommend. Very long and constant waves. It was one of my favorite spots 🙂

Viento Este Guest House ligger i Popoyo, et stenkast fra Playa Popoyo Strand, og har en have, en bar og gratis privat parkering. Overnatningsstedet har et fælles køkken samt gratis wi-fi overalt. Had a smashing time at Viento Este. Simple, clean beach living. I stayed here for a month with zero complaints. Nico made it feel like home. Easy access to the brilliant pizza restaurant three times a week was a bonus! Highly recommend!

Hostel Life is Good ligger i Moyogalpa, 39 km fra Maderas Volcano, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Excellent atmosphere, very spacious privates and the owners are lovely. They can organise anything for you, scooters, hikes ect.

Hostal Villas Mexico ligger i San Juan del Sur, 3 minutters gang fra Marsella Strand, og har en sæsonåben udendørs swimmingpool, en have og et fælles opholdsområde samt gratis privat parkering. We booked with Hostal Villas Mexico because it was budget friendly and close to Maderas. At first we felt a little out of place because no one spoke a lick on English and there were no other English speaking travellers there either, but as we were exploring the place a couple of ladies who work there introduced them selves and took the time to show us around and patiently dealt with our bad Spanish as we tried to communicate how appreciative we were that they were showing us the beautiful land. Apart from the free breakfast and coffee they had already made us, they also made us the most delicious fried fish rice and chips for lunch, and invited us for dinner! They were so accommodating lovely and sweet! I sadly can’t remember all their names…. Maria, Janet? I think haha And…. Gosh I don’t remember but three main ladies seem to run the joint and they are awesome! We joked around, got hugs, and it ended up being a very lovely stay. Cabana #2 was sooo clean, had a mini fridge, air conditioning, super comfy bed, tv with cable with lots of movies you can swap to English, Clean ensuite that provided plenty of TP, clean towels soap and shampoo. We Felt super safe and secure, as there is security at the front gate, and again breakfast, coffee and packed lunch included (though we had ours there) it was great! Very quiet and chill and surrounded by lots of trees and plants and they are adding more diversity and plants all around, can’t wait to revisit in 10 years to see how it looks! Super super close to marsella and 5 minute Moto ride to Maderas.

The host! She is amazing!! She helped us with everything, we got sick and she literally took care of us. The location is great and the rooms are big enough with private bathroom, the breakfast was amazing as well.

Monkey House Hostel ligger i Tola og har en have, fælles opholdsområde, en terrasse og restaurant. Absolutely amazing, so so cool. I wish I had a few more days to chill at this magical place. The food was so delicious, bar / restaurant view over the beach was just breathtaking. Willam and the staff were super friendly. Gracias amigos!!!
