The kindness of the staff who assisted us at check in.

The dorm room had AC overnight (or during the day if you asked for it) which combined with the good mattreses made a very comfortable sleep. The bathroom was clean, the kitchen was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was really good and they were happy to make it a little early if needed because of dive times. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The chillout areas are well designed at the front of the hostel which creates a very relaxed and engaging atmosphere. I 100% recommend.

He speaks many languages so communication was easy. We learned a lot from him about the area. TORIO is a very small rural location in a lush tropical setting with very friendly people. Nearby is Playa TORIO which has good swimming.

Met tons of people due to the super social aspect of the hostel as well as the $1 beer offered there, which is cheaper than getting a 6 pack from the store. Quinn, the owner, was amazing and went out of his way to make sure we had the best time!

It’s a place where travelers and locals meet but not like a party hostel, just chill vibes. The kitchen is huge and well equipped and there‘s always someone around who keeps it clean. Breakfast is simple but delicious, they provide the dough and a variety of toppings to make your own pancakes (and as many as you want hehe). Beds are super confy and there‘s a lot of space in the dorms, overall clean.
