I had the most amazing time at Kayan hostel. The facilities were great, the location was nice just off the main road but close to all the bars and restaurants. But the best thing about my stay was the staff - they were so welcoming, cooked us food, hung out with us and came on our adventures. I had been solo traveling for 2 months prior and this was by far the most fun I have had in a hostel. Initially I had booked 2 nights but ended up staying for a week because I enjoyed it so much. I will definitely be back!

Make sure to include a few nights at this hostel during your time in Siargao. We loved the area and the hostel so much. We are surfers and there are so many amazing uncrowded waves nearby. Wish we could have stayed in this area for longer but it was raining pretty hard so had to head back earlier than planned.

Amazing, great value for money, social vibe-, very social and friendly. Able to rent a scooter directly from the hostel. Family dinners tasted amazing, and great value for money. Larry is super inviting, knows everyone by name, will organise drop off to the airport for you. He also comes out to drink often. Hosts other activities like yoga on the rooftop, simple kitchenette facilities but everything that you could need if you want to make yourself food. Great restaurants are a short walk over the road. The cutest kitten to keep one company. The property is amazing. You have your own locker but there's also ample space underneath the bed for bags.
