Stunning hostel in the nicest location, surrounded by the ocean and river. Dorms were clean and had privacy curtains. The town was definitely walkable and the staff was exceptionally helpful. Kitchen and living area was clean and nice to hang out.

Sunset Surf Camp ligger i Saint-François, 6 minutters gang fra Plage des Raisins Clairs Strand, og har gratis cykler, en udendørs swimmingpool og en have samt gratis privat parkering. I had a great time at Sunset Surf Camp. The owners are very friendly and helpful, the rooms and common area/kitchen are clean and well organized. On top - there are 2 pools, sunbeds and hammocks in the beautiful garden :-) Also surfing was great!

Casba Hostel ligger i Las Terrenas, 13 minutters gang fra Playa Punta Popy Strand, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og gratis privat parkering. This place was amazing, one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. It was so well done, with beautiful views, and a structure to match. Everything was so well thought out and tastefully done to create such a great vibe and energy—a testament to the owner(s), who put genuine love and care into all aspects of this wonderful place! Even the whimsical touches of a kid goat and bathroom art were note-perfect! They even put on a delicious communal meal followed by a great merengue class, with some really cool people in attendance. If I didn’t love riding bikes to new places so much it’s the kind of place I would’ve been happy to end my vacation in.

Leisy's Garden is one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. If you are looking for a calm break in otherwise busy Dominican Republic this is the place for you. Everything was super clean, all small details were well thought (curtains in dorm beds, huge lockers, very good wifi) and the staff was just amazing! The dorm room is so spacious and the bed was new and comfortable. The small breakfast is a nice bonus and a good way to start the day. For me it was the perfect stay and I only wish I could've stayed longer!

Splendid Inn ligger i Florence Hall, 2,8 km fra Blue Waters Beach og 16 minutters gang fra Luminous Lagoon. Everything. It was amazing. Host was really friendly and helpful. Locations was private and peaceful. Will definitely going back.

Sleep'n'Ride ligger i El Yaque, 1 minutters gang fra Playa el Yaque Strand. Her er concierge-tjeneste, en have, et fælles opholdsområde samt gratis wi-fi. Der er desuden røgfrie værelser. Excellent location right on the Yaque beach. Small shops around for the basic needs. Very friendly owner, always around with helpful tips about the area. The facilities are basic, but sufficient - AC in the room (a bit noisy, but it works). A very chill, backpacking vibe.

Judy House 2 - Lewis Backpacker Hostel ligger i Little Bay, 4 minutters gang fra Homers Cove Beach, og har en have, et fælles opholdsområde og en terrasse samt gratis privat parkering. Lovely stay with Sue who seemed to know everybody and was a perfect host. Garden was from paradise with loads of birds, butterflies and toads (at night). We were lucky as it was not busy when we were there so quiet outdoor kitchen and beautifully kept shared bathroom. You must try Teresa’s jerk pork a few yards down the road - she was great fun whenever we visited her - she might be the heart of Brighton Beach! We stayed in February 2025.
