Golem is a coastal town. Kilometers of nice sandy beaches stretching around the coast and seaside promenade. The beach is made up of fine sand, which makes the water muddy near the shore. The bottom drops only very slowly. Families with children will especially appreciate this fact. Due to the shallow profile of the bottom, the water tends to be extremely warm. In the Mali i Robit area, we can find a relatively long pier with a restaurant near the Klajdi resort hotel. North of Golem, the sandstone Kavajská rock (Alb. Shkëmbi i Kavajës) rises to a height of 105 meters. Not only does it offer nice views of the entire Dračská bay, but it is also significant because it was here in 48 BC. n. l. the armies of Caesar and his rival Pompey clashed.
