Straddie Sales and Rentals is a holiday rental agency based in Amity Point off the coast from Brisbane on North Stradbroke Island in Queensland. It is owned and operated by sisters Karen and Annie who grew up on Straddie and have intimate knowledge of what this breath-taking island has to offer. The agency specialises in managing a variety of holiday properties to suit every budget, from small original fishing shacks to premium waterfront houses. While most of these holiday homes are located in the township of Amity Point, SSR have a small number of villas and houses for rent at Point Lookout and are looking to grow that market.... so watch this space!

RELAX IN STYLE - secluded and private at the end of a quiet culdesac nestled amongst the native melaluca and cyprus forest is 'Amiri' ('of the East wind') a contemporary North Stradbroke Island beach house. Cleverly designed for outdoor living capturing the northerly aspect and native forest setting. Expandable doorways on 2 sides of the living/dining room area open onto hardwood timber decks overlooking the very private rear courtyard. Tastefully and comfortably furnished there is no escaping the island and beach context. The kitchen features contemporary European appliances for your holiday convenience, but in this setting your holiday will centre around the outdoor entertainment area and generous sized gas BBQ. The master bedroom with queen bed is a private sanctuary with ensuite, a large picture window framing the adjoining native forest trees and a large sliding glass door opening directly onto the rear deck and courtyard. The other 2 bedrooms, both with queen beds, comfortably sleep another 4 guests serviced by the second bathroom, which offers a shower over bath and a separate toilet. Walking tracks lead from the courtyard through the forest 350m directly to the beach. The sound of the ocean is ever-present on the gentle sea breezes filtered through the surrounding trees. The fully fenced yard provides peace of mind for the young family on holidays and free Wi-Fi keeps the whole family connected throughout your stay. Unfortunately pets are not permitted. Fresh linen is supplied with all beds made on arrival. Quilts, sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, hand towels and tea-towels are all provided. All you need to bring are the beach towels.

Located 30 kilometres southeast of Brisbane, Straddie is 38 kilometres in length and 11 kilometres at its widest point and covers an area of 275.2km2. Along the eastern shoreline of the island you will find soft, white sands and kilometres of rolling surf. The western side of the island faces Moreton Bay and offers calm bay waters and pristine beaches, ideal for families of young children, boating enthusiasts and those pursuing water sports without the waves.
