APLITE HOUSE sits amongst a two hundred acre private property of secluded forest. The property is fringed by the world renowned Freycinet National Park. Aplite House is conveniently located along the "Great Eastern Drive" on the Freycinet Peninsula, between Coles Bay and Bicheno at Friendly Beaches. The house is a very private home base that is well positioned for exploring Tasmania's East Coast. While at the house there is a sense of immersion in native Tasmanian forest with views over Moulting Lagoon conservation area it is a very relaxing and tranquil environment. Nearby is pristine Friendly Beaches that are almost 8 km long and most times feels like you have the entire beach to yourself. Aplite House is a sanctuary in the heart of one of Australia's most iconic landscapes. While enjoying the seclusion and privacy of the property it is within easy reach to explore Coles Bay, Bicheno, Wineglass Bay hiking trail, Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay, Bluestone Bay, Cape Tourville Lighthouse, Bicheno Blowhole, Denison Beach, Freycinet National Park, Douglas Apsley National Park and East Coast Vineyards, along with the many other activities the region offers.

We're artists and designers who enjoy travelling, art, architecture, design, wilderness and Tasmania. We've had a great time over many years amalgamating these pleasures into a building and property in a very unique part of the world. The best way to get around on the Freycinet Peninsula is to drive. Although to see some of the most spectacular landscape features of the region a bit of hiking can be required. Even if it's a gentle stroll along Friendly Beaches, or a hike into Sleepy Bay, Wineglass Bay or Hazards Beach, it's worthwhile bringing some comfortable walking shoes. If hiking isn't for you, or you want a rest from it, there's a few relaxing cellar doors to visit and local cuisine to sample along the way. Alternatively, if seeing the landscape from the water is for you there's some great tour options, Bicheno Glass bottom boat, Wineglass Bay Cruises, Freycinet Adventures and the Freycinet Aqua Taxi to name a few. Or if from the air appeals, Freycinet Air do spectacular scenic flights.
