Let us welcome you to City Terraces Cairns... we love Cairns.... we love City Terraces.... and we love guests coming to enjoy everything Cairns has to offer. We're passionate about protecting our beautiful environment and support it with share bicycles, bags, food, herbs, worm farms and recycling that guests can all participate in and use.
Lyn's originally from Melbourne, but has family in Cairns while Will's a New Zealander. Before moving here in 2016 Japan was our home for 25 years. We've raised bilingual daughters and besides speaking Japanese Lyn speaks French. Will and Lyn both have hospitality and education backgrounds. Will majored in Hotel Management and worked for the South Pacific Hotel Corporation, while Lyn majored in English Literature and French and was a tour designer for a Melbourne travel agent. We were primarily university and international school teachers in Japan, but lead many tours to Australia and New Zealand and became AirBNB Superhosts. Lyn still takes small groups to Japan and stays in our two houses near Kyoto. We live on site and are always here to help you.
Nearby there is MiPiace Cafe, Dominos Pizza, Hashim's Dips, a Thai restaurant, sushi store and large convenience store. We are located just two blocks from the Cairns Performing Arts Centre, the largest shopping mall in the city, Martin Munroe Park and the Cairns Aquarium. The esplanade is just a 10 minute walk with Muddy's Playground and another 5 minutes to the famous lagoon pool and night markets. We're just a couple of blocks from the centre of the city, so quite convenient yet quiet at night. We have 6 share bicycles and are nicely located on the edge of the CBD and a number of biking/walking tracks. A great place to stay.
