Contained in Nimbin Accommodation comprises of two private and fully self contained cottages (Wollumbin and Nightcap) that are located just a short 3 minute drive to the historic and unique village of Nimbin. The cottages are situated on a 10 acre self sufficient permaculture farm, on the banks of the pristine Goolmangar Creek. The cottages will be a comfortable and peaceful base during your stay while you venture out and explore the beautiful hinterland, national parks and the eclectic village of Nimbin. Wollumbin and Nightcap cottage are brand new and modern. Both cabins provide vistas of rainforest, rural farmlands, a permaculture farm and friendly cows. Both cottages have been designed and built with a focus on reducing their impact on the environment. Both cottages have a five star building sustainability index rating, solar hot water and are powered by the owners residential solar system. The cottages are built from shipping containers and sustainable timbers, are super insulated, have 100% pure filtered and UV treated rain water system, passive wetlands wastewater management system, composting and recycling.

Contained In Nimbin is owned and managed by a husband and wife team (Nicole and Nicolas). We moved to the Northern Rivers 5 years ago seeking a lifestyle change with dreams of running a self-sustainable permaculture farm, providing a wholesome upbringing to our children and slowing our pace of life. So we landed in Nimbin on 10 acres, planted 500 fruit trees and have just spent the last year building the cottages. During your stay, you will most likely see us pottering around the gardens, tending to the cows, chickens, ducks, dogs, guinea pigs, bees, and a single love bird. Please absolutely feel free to yell out to us if you wish! If not, we will absolutely endeavour to respect your privacy while you are visiting. Nicolas's hobbies include gardening and wood-working. Nicole's hobbies include fossicking for crystals, tumbling rocks found in the creek and gardening.

There are amazing cafés and shops and fascinating places like Djanbung Gardens, Nimbin Rocks and the extraordinary Nimbin Candle Factory. You'll be spoilt for choice with National Parks including Border Ranges Ranges National Park, Mebbin National Park, Nightcap National Park and Wollumbin National Park. Open air shopping is a favourite pastime in the Rainbow Region. Each weekend there’s a big, colourful market in one of the towns or villages brimming with fabulous arts and crafts, second-hand bargains, locally-grown organic produce and lots, lots more. Nimbin’s idyllic climate and alternative culture has generated an eclectic array of fabulous food and imaginative dining experiences. It’s a real gourmet treat, with scores of eateries offering innovative organic creations, vegetarian, contemporary Asian and modern Australian cuisine. The region’s passion for alternative living supports a variety of healthy and imaginative options.
