We both are Irish but have lived a long time in Australia. We have travelled a lot as we love this country, Australia has so much to offer but we constantly came back to Sundown National Park and Stanthorpe. Pat always called Sundown his second home and we would come down here most weekends, Pat has walked all over Sundown and knows it very well. So, it seemed only right to move here a few years ago and make Glen Aplin home. Now we have our slice of heaven and are living in it, we love it so much, the peace and tranquillity of the area is amazing and the relaxed atmosphere of the people here is amazing. So we just had to share our heaven with you!!

Our cabins are located on a quiet road just 15 minutes outside Stanthorpe, in Glen Aplin. We are in the middle of the bush not far from Girraween Park and a lot of other attractions in the area, there are so many wineries in the area you will be spoiled for choice. If it is bird watching you are after, well we have over 80 different species of birds spotted on our property, we will provide a list of these in each cabin – see how many you can spot? Of course you will see different birds depending on the time of year so you will have to keep coming back. It is so quiet and peaceful here you can imagine you are completely alone spotting all the wildlife. Also attractive to the romantic at heart, imagine just sitting on your deck looking out at the most fanastic view with a glass of wine and a steak cooking on the BBQ with your loved one away from the hustle and bustle of life. Watch the sun setting from the deck too!! Our disability cabin is now open and it is so exciting, there are not many short term facilities like this around, try to find one as good as this, an almost impossible task – get your comfort and be in the middle of nature too. This cabin passes all relevant legislation, you can get around this cabin no problem, a full wet room is at your disposal, non-slip floors through out the cabin, a full deck for you to sit and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets or listen to the chorus of chirping birds and lively wildlife, what an enchanting ambiance. All the cabins also have a fully fitted kitchen so are fully self-catering with a BBQ out on the deck along with an outdoor setting. Through out the cabin we have lower height fixtures which greatly enhances accessibility for individuals with mobility impairments along with wide doorways and open plan floors for easy manoeuvrability The cabin can really cater to the disabled but also very suitable for anyone as it is so tastefully done and so appealing for anyone looking for a getaway in the bush!!

Maybe just sit quietly on your deck and look out for the wallabies, wallaroos and if you are lucky koalas. You might even hear some owls, we have been known to have a powerful owl hanging around. For you night people star gazing is something else down here, no light pollution so the night sky really lights up for you The cabins are set in 40 acres of bush with granite rock outcrops and features.
