Our traditional two bedroom Bulgarian home is set in the quiet and small village of Osen some 27km away from the city of Vratsa in Northwest Bulgaria. This is really a location for the independent traveller who appreciates a slower pace of life. The house is air conditioned in the lounge, master bedroom and kitchen, the two bedrooms( king-size and double) and lounge are on the first floor , accessible by external stairs as is the norm in many village houses and may pose a challenge to those less able. There is also a balcony overlooking the mature garden containing fruit trees a covered patio area. On the ground floor is the fully fitted kitchen and utility hallway containing a sink , washing machine and dishwasher. There is also the wet room with shower and toilet. The house is double glazed throughout and has black out blinds in both bedrooms. Please note that the property is strictly only for the use of paying guests, no private parties are allowed. Please also note that the app AI combined with Google shows there to be restaurants and supermarkets to be close by, this is not the case and we can't change this information!!!

Lesley is a successful glass artist and her touches are clearly evident in the decor of the house, whilst Graham is retired . We live within 2 minutes of the house at the top of the village and are generally just a phone call away if help is needed, otherwise you will not be disturbed.

Osen is a quiet village of circa 260 inhabitants, but generally this swells at weekends and in Summer as Bulgarians stay in there village homes to tend their crops. Life is definitely slow here and centers around the farming community, there are two village shops supplying the staples, a post office and the Mayors office in the center, one store doubles as a small cafe. A bigger variety of shops , ATM, bar , chemists, garages, train station etc are 5km away in the town of Krivodol. Vratsa the Provence capital is 27km away and has everything you would expect a small city to have here and probably the most beautiful skyline of any city in Bulgaria, with the Vratsa Balkan as it's backdrop. The spa town of Varshets is 30km away set at the base of the Balkan foothills and has many spas open to day visitors.
